First Impressions

First impressions are as follows. Rod is light and nimble it looks great and feels super crisp. Has all the bells and whistles you would expect from a mid- high quality rod.

Casting and Handling

Super comfortable to cast and hold a slightly longer but section which helps when casting easily casts a 5oz sinker with bait not a problem. This rod has a good flexible but not to stiff blank and the tip recovers quick on the cast helping with extra distance. Casting felt good as the bottom grip feels really comfortable in hand.

I would have liked some sort of rod wrap for protection and I will be adding one at some stage.

Sensitivity and Performance

Tip is sensitive as could see even the smaller nibbles and hits and made very short work of the fish we were landing. Trevally /snapper / kahawai and a couple spotted dog fish.

Design and Aesthetics

The colour and the detail is right up there rod looks as great as it sounds and lives up to its name.

Final Thoughts

Thoughts on this rod overall well this far I’m impressed it handled the West Coast swell it was crisp and fast. Light and flexible but not to much had a decent power in the blank and looks great couple that with Fuji guides and reel seat and low rider styled guides and it’s not bad not bad at all.

I look forward to using this rod again for sure. Will be keen to see how it holds up over the next few sessions or more.
